Blue & White Follies
Blue & White FolliesBlue and white follies is a sculpture where a group of gnomes are observing or participating in a styrofoam drawing lab. It pokes fun at the idea of preciousness in porcelain and the throw away nature of styrofoam. I drew the pictures of museum ceramics on styrofoam with Charcoal in order to highlight this dichotomy and reference a drawing lab.Installed at the Baton Rouge Gallery and Center for contemporary arts and spring of 2023. porcelain, styrofoam, and charcoal, 2023

The Blue Chair of Dreams
The Blue Chair of DreamsThe Blue Chair of dreams is a photo taken for a show I had in Maine in December of 2024. The show consisted of 50 pieces of ceramics made during the course of November as a reaction to the political climate of the United States. The blending of photography and ceramics is a fertile zone for my work at the moment and helps me to explore layers of meaning and the act of making.
